Well, I am still unemployed. Waiting on the call from our Consumer-in-Chief offering me one of those many jobs that will materialize now that he's been re-elected. Mrs. Metal Dad was offered a full time job as a special needs nurse in a nearby high school. This will provide medical benefits for the family so we won't have to shell out the ridiculous amount of money for COBRA coverage from my former employee. So I will be a leech and collect unemployment benefits while I continue the search for another job. I think we'll be all right for some time. I got my severance and rolled my 401K into my IRA. Who knows, maybe I won't go back to work full time if I can find something good part time. Mrs. Metal Dad says she kind of likes having me home to hold down the fort, get The Light of My Life on and off the school bus, etc. Time will tell.
On another note, as a corrective to the propaganda from the cult of Lincoln now playing in theaters and being widely advertised I'd like to recommend the excellent Lincon Unmasked by Thomas DiLorenzo.
