Had a couple of errands to run after everyone left this morning and when I returned had to do some cleaning. Played with my latest toy, one of those nifty Shark vacuums which I got on Father's Day or my birthday, can't recall which. My life must be pretty dull when I can get excited over a vacuum cleaner but what the hey. At least we have a house to keep clean.
Got some pork chops in the oven because I'm going to make huevos con chile verde for my dinner and nothing goes with eggs like pork chops. If we had some bacon I'd cook that as well. Of course I have to make more than enough for me because The Light of My Life will need to have some of whatever I'm having. If I cooked a plate for her she'd probably pass on it. I guess it tastes better off my plate. I made that bed so I have to sleep in it.
Of course I cranked some tunes while cleaning. First up was Outsideinside, Blue Cheer's second release. When folks get to talking about who was the first heavy metal band their name usually comes up. For my money, they were the proto-typical punk band. They were loud and ragged, rude and crude. I am pretty sure it's not an acid flashback but I seem to recall seeing them at the Aragon Ballroom or the Kinetic Playground way back in 1969 I believe.
Went from Blue Cheer to Earth Crisis and ended up on EyeHateGod's In the Name of Suffering.
