R.I.P. Dickie Peterson

 Bassist. vocalist, and founding member of Blue Cheer passed away at the age of 61 in Germany on Monday. In memoriam, I will be blasting their first two albums while I watch Monday Night Football tonight.

Bride - Silence Is Madness

I had this on cassette many years ago. I remember listening to it on a plane from NY to Barbados enroute to a company sponsored junket to which I was fortunate enough to be able to bring my wife along. Bride was one of the 2nd generation of christian metal bands. They were pretty much a straight up thrash metal band. I was able to find this album in digital format and add it to my library.

White Zombie Box Set Coming

Rob Zombie has posted the following update regarding the forthcoming White Zombie box set:

"Well, I am now holding the finished newly master WHITE ZOMBIE box set in my hands. Yes, it is done! A long time coming but it is here.

"I'm not sure what the release day is yet, but it shouldn't be much longer. I'm pretty sure you'll be getting under your Christmas tree.

"All I can say is boy the early shit is wacked. I haven't heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don't know what the hell we were thinking.

"Everything is including on this set. Over 4 and 1/2 hours of music plus tons of never before seen videos. 5 discs in all."
